I'm not a developer, but I have an issue with Android that has been driving me crazy as of late. I use the calendar to keep track of most of my appointments but I've been travelling a little more lately than usual and I've gone through a bunch of time zone shifts. From Atlanta to Moscow to Helsinki to Stockhom all my appointments are automatically shifted with my time zone. For example, a meeting that I schedule at 17:30 while in Moscow that is to take place in Stockholm will be shifted to 15:30 on my calendar once I arrive in Stockholm and pop in a new SIM card. It may be nit-picky, but I would love some type of option to keep the calendar times stable even as time zones shift, or even to keep specific appointments stable. It is just too weird for me to calculate where and when every appointment is going to take place beforehand according to the timezone and then try to keep track of the time zone as I travel.
I know this isn't a separate application and is bundled in with the Google Calendar/Sync thing, but maybe it will find its way to someone who takes interest. Hope this finds all you developers well. Keep up the good work. CAVEAT --- I am using an unlocked Roger's HTC Magic on ATT's network (in the US), so I haven't been updated yet. This issue may or may not have been addressed since 1.5 but I think it was more of an intentional design, so probably not. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
