Thanks for the reply Bob. I'm a little out of my depth here. Luckily, or I suppose yes by plan, I am using subversion and have found a much smaller subset of my code that causes the problem. Actually using System.gc() did help me isolate and was actually an earlier post of yours that gave me the idea. Essentially it occurs when I am using a SQLite database in a Service I have. By chance it can be brought to the fore after a single test case and i am attempting to narrow down exactly where/why it is occurring.
I have logged Issue 8046 (rather poorly at first) so the Android people can see if it is something important to them - although usually in these instances it is something naive I have done.
