Notification and intent already exist in WinMo and MacOS X OS. Android make it in JAVA beccause it doesn't exist. The fact is for example Google maps is able to locate you on Iphone and WinMo. There is a cell change notification, sms notification, hardware notification etc. inter windows message notification, message queue notification/ registering. With this I think it is enough to made information available between application, and for doing some of aware application. So android bring no revolution in programming.
To be a success Android have to seduce user, and google is nothing than a search engine for most people and android is a sort of robot :). I think this is an important thing to take into account. -angelsephirot On 23 mar, 20:10, Dave <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I'll have to add that if Apple does not provide an intent / > notification capability, Android will be eventually become much more > interesting for those of us who aren't satisfied with just doing run / > quit apps.
