Don't you udnerstand the difference between an alliance (even product-
focused like Dan saied) and a foundation ?

nothing from that list http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alliance has
offices, board, and so on.

Still according to Wikipedia, a Foundation (http://en.wikipedia.org/
wiki/Foundation_%28nonprofit_organization%29) is "a legal
categorization of nonprofit organizations.".

So the difference is clear : "legal". An alliance is recognized only
by the members of the alliance.
