Hi guys, I'm following up on some old posts discussing Android's real hardware performance. Although it is not clear if Java execution problem will be a drawback for the Android platform at first, I presume that soon enough, while the Java applications evolve, the currently available hardware solutions won't satisfy the software's needs.
I am currently working on a project that could speed-up any object oriented system by executing directly the bytecodes instead of transforming them in native code and I believe it could be a real solution if Android's speed on ARM won't be too good. We already have a hardware prototype and now we test its performance. If you're interested in helping us with creative new benchmarks or discussing what will be the impact of such a speed increase you're more than welcome!
