Hi I thought of using a Bluetooth Dongle and Android Emulator to simulate BT but then I read the Emulator Contraints in the link http://code.google.com/android/reference/emulator.html and regarding Bluetooth support I found "No support for Bluetooth".
I thought of this idea(Dongle) as this will decouple application developers from buying an actual h/w. The way browser, phone calls, SMS and Google Maps are implemented(simulated) in Emulator is remarkable and the direct result is a flood of innovative apps in this space. I wanted to know if it possible (now or in future) to use a BT dongle to run and debug Bluetooth applications in Emulator. I was curious whats need to be done if I want to pursue this idea now or possibly in future, i.e some technical details as to how to route the data from BlueZ stack to the USB BT dongle jacked in my PC. If Emulator is not supporting BT currently , I was curios if anyone can enlighten me as to how to simulate a remote BT connection behavior in Emulator . Will appreciate your help/inputs Thanks AndroidUzer --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
