Does anyone know if future releases of Android OS will have support
for the alarms turning the phone on? Besides, the obvious need for the
h/w support for this feature (RTC alarm needs to a valid power on
reason), some support from the OS would be helpful. In particular,

1. When the alarm goes off and phone powers up, it cannot camp to the
network because the user could have turned the phone off while in the
airplane. So when the alarm goes off, the user should be given a
choice to either turn the phone off or let it power up all the way.

2. Ideally, turning the phone on should be a user selectable setting
for every alarm

Thanks,

Dima
