Again, don't agree. I think the opposite is true, that is, it is a good idea. I 
believe most users will try to use the lite version. However, if it is of 
limited time then if they like your app they will buy it, else they won't care. 
The only ones that will complain are those that will not buy your app because 
they like everything free and frankly you don't need them.

As an anecdote I always use the lite version unless truely forced to buy the 
full version.
