Why would you get banned?

That's more than a glitch, I guess...two weeks ago I followed a link
to this forum and Google repeatedly reported I was banned from
posting.
Eventually I got in touch with the moderator and he claimed I'm not
even subscrubed so I can't be banned.
While we were exchanging emails it started working. He said he has
done nothing and I know I have done nothing too, just refreshing.
And now this.
Someone must be loving me.
