Spot on, Al! I've read it somewhere that Android Java is important for Google as long as they don't have a proper web run-time implemented on the platform and then can web designers come, ave Java programmers. I'm afraid of Google's commitment lowering towards platform development and then who else will develop it? Google will have what they wanted.
