*HTML Page as Shortcut on Desktop* ------------------------------ Ok I dont program in android/java ...
I write simple HTML ... My need ... I have created an HTML page of links and I want to be able to place it on the desktop as a shortcut so when it is clicked it will open the page in the browser ... I can open ASTRO then open the file in the html viewer ... but that is to many clicks and means searching the sd for the file each time ... If I cant do it as a shortcut .... could I talk someone into including the html into a apk wrapper as an app... I don't want to charge for it. I would like to provide it as a free app ... or at least no more than $0.99 The HTML consists of 100+ links which represent every Metro train station in the Washington DC metro system and provides live updates of real-time train arrival/departures for each station... I have tried to open the file as a saved bookmark (i.e. file://sdcard/Metro_Train_Arrivals.htm) but google browser gives me web page not available --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
