That much is true, but its arguably better to get nag screens than no app at all, or an app that has crippled functionality as a penality for not having a Visa/Mastercard.
Perhaps the donation model is not the best approach, I'm always interested to hear better ideas - but so far each one has been unpopular for various reasons (subscription-based payment, payment via phone bill, etc). I just want the madness to stop, and for it to be at least as easy to buy apps on an Android phone as it is on the iPhone. If Google can't provide this, then we may have to look for other ways to make it happen.
