I have a standard G1 (not a dev phone) without a data plan. So it has cell coverage and wifi when I'm near wifi point. How is cupcake downloaded to the phone? It is sent over the cell network despite the fact that I don't have a data plan, or is it automatically detected and downloaded over wifi when I connect to a network? How would I know that my "day in the rollout" came and the download didn't occur?
I'm a little worried because I was under the impression developers would get it first...although I don't see how T-Mobile would really *know* I was a developer, so I find that confusing.
