Thanks for the comments. That being said, I'm definitely not doing PR, not even unofficially, and Google has people dedicated to that. My role is purely that of a technical maintainer for the Android Open-Source Project, which includes an outward-facing aspect (and that includes trying to explain what the Open-Source community can expect from the Android Open-Source Project and how it fits in the overall Android ecosystem). I'm not doing developer support, for which we also have a dedicated group of people.
As far as I can tell, Market is treated primarily as a traditional Google product (which happens to have an Android client), with its own forums and support structure that are entirely separate from the "usual" set of tools (Google Groups, code.google.com bug database...) that the core Android ecosystem relies on.
