As pointed out by Romain Guy, "Work email" is not google.

Regarding the other two...
The reason they are separated is that one is open source and the other
is closed source. Specifically, the gmail app is closed due to its
integration with the "google experience" stuff. The other one is there
so that on a non google-experience device, you will still have an
email app.

What would be nice is to have the email app (not gmail) be extended to
support imap-push.
