I think there's a strong need to better advertise the Google Android phones for them to succeed against the iPhone.
I'm suggesting an ad campaign similar to the "There's an App for that" that Apple has been pushing, except this series of ads would highlight how Android provides a more personalized and better experience. For example, one spot showing how one can customize one's desktop with different views depending on what you are doing, like a "social networking" view with Facebook and Twitter widgets, another with shorcuts to different audio tools, like a music player and podcast widget, and another view with a photo album etc etc. It should emphasize that you cannot have groups of apps open at the same time in the same view with an iPhone. Most importantly, these ads should also show how easy it is to use and setup an Android phone. I think the T-mobile ads started some of these ideas, but didn't carry them all the way. Android cannot succeed unless it wins mindshare... it doesn't matter so much that the tech is better. How do we get Google/T-mobile/Sprint to listen? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
