Ok, now I understand what you are asking about. Sorry to say that you'll need to upgrade your headset for this function.
It is actually quite incorrect for any device to do what you are suggesting -- and I say this with respect to the bluetooth profile specifications. General audio should be carried over A2DP. Phone should be carried over HSP. You see, under HSP, the ring is just a command sent from the host device -- the phone tells the headset to ring. The sounds themselves are generated by the headset. Similarly, the answer button is a command back to the host that says "ok, you can answer and connect audio now". These are actually HAYES AT MODEM commands. There are no commands that match "new SMS notification" or other similar things. Now that being said, it is certainly possible to make a hack of it --- by faking a phone call. Is it appropriate? No... it is definitely a hack. Which is why it isn't and shouldn't be included in any device software.
