How about paying the developers back, whose copyright you have hurt in the past before thinking everyone would be warm and fuzzy about you suddently? a full disclosure of the pirated numbers together with checks to the developers in full amount would be appropriate. Otherwise no one will even think a second about trusting you. .. my 2 cents

I am now looking to create a site that is fully legit. I was wandering what as a developer you guys would be looking for in an alternative market? From what I read there is a lot of issues with encrypting and accessing APK's without actually having to pay for them. Three options I was thinking about that I would like some feedback on: 1. As a developer it would require you to provide a "trial app" and a "full version". The trial application will be free to download, but mind you it must not be a fully operational version unless you are incorporating it with a auth key yourself. The consumer will use Google Checkout to purchase App or Paypal, whichever the Developer decides to provide. The Full application will be available for download once payment has been received, which is within 15 minutes with Google and instantly with Paypal. Hence there will be a member log-in area which you would only have access to once you paid(similar to androidplaygrounds old setup but not just anyone can gain access anymore.) In this area you will have access to download the application you paid for and non other. of course there are a few things that I would change before site will be set up, but that comes with the feedback. I'm pulling this out my ass right now. 2. The other option would make it non-downloadable and only sent out through email. I know a lot of developers would think this not useful but take it from someone who made money doing it this way...It's easy and it works. But there may still need to be a trial version, not sure on this yet. In this scenario you the developer will get 80% of the payment for your application and the site will take 20%. there will be an easy to use upload page set up for developers access only to upload applications to site that will then be available within 24 hours for download(most likely sooner) A lot more would go into this option. This method is proven to work. 3. The last option I was thinking is to create a recurring payment for applications to be downloaded. But this would take developers not worrying about there application being pirated since it would require at least a once a month update that people will want along side you the developer receiving monthly payments for you applications being available for download. This option would take a group of developers not just one. I believe to start it off I can use a minimum of 5 developers. It would take nothing on there part but a constant update at least 1 time monthly and the application uploaded to site and a contractual agreement pretty much stating you give me authority to distribute applications to users. Of course since they are paying monthly they will come to site to update manually. This site would be accessible from the phone and applications will be able to be downloaded from the phone and payment can sent and received from the phone regardless of what country. This way is also proven to work. We had over 13000 hits in one month and of course I cannot disclose the financing but a significant amount was made( not enough to dent the developers pockets since most weren't updated versions). The more developers included in this option the more customers we gain and the more money you receive regardless of if you sell an application or not. On all options all developers will have there own page set up to receive feedback and applications requests driven specifically towards that developers talents and maybe even make it possible to receive personal applications requests that you set the price for. Please feel free to leave feedback, I know a lot of you probably don't like me but I do have a good business sense, I just started off on the wrong side. Once any of these ideas starts to take off there will be a free version of the site in the market to make it easy access from the phone within a self contained application.
