androlib obviously pulls from the market but they do so only occasionally, probably once or twice a week and store the results in a database. Cyrket's real value was the real time reporting and the use of the market's "popularity" ratings instead of Androlib's own thought up approach. It's more important to know what the market shows the users than anything a non-market company decides is the way to rank them. My opinion anyway.
