Do you know, I cannot believe that 'bug' has not been fixed yet!
I filled a bug report about that problem several months ago, since then
we have gone through 1.5, 1.6, 2.0 and still it has not bee included.

Oddly one reason I ditched the iPhone after a week of use was it's
inability to dial numbers
from the calendar, I tested a G1 and it worked.
To my horror I then found I could not dial phone numbers in emails
from the G1 (something you could
do on the iPhone)

Another basic annoyance is the inability to search Calendars .
