At the moment, there are numerous translation and dictionary apps. But it seems that none of them is possible to be invoked from another app for quick access. I mean, if I want to find the Chinese meaning of a word in an English email, I have to switch to the dictionary app, type in the word (or paste if I have copied it in advance), and get the translation.
What could be helpful to language learners is to implement a interface that I can select the word, and with some simpler actions (e.g. long- click), invoke the translation/dictionary app and display the translation in an overlay window. What's your take...?
