I finally gave up for the present time being. I took my ADP1 back off the
shelf
and put my Nexus One in its place. Why, you ask?

Well my Nexus One can't seem to decide if it wants to connect to T-Mobile with
3G or EDGE and it drains its battery cycling/exploring both options. My ADP1
just parks on 3G and wails away. I'll start using my Nexus One again when
Google gets it fixed.
