Job Title: IT Network Engineer

SCOPE OF SERVICES

The role/position will be engaged and relied upon to review connectivity
related work between the NYCERS network and the proposed LRP solution which
will be built in a multi cloud environment(s).
This role will also assist in designing, implementing, supporting and
monitoring the data bridging solution between the legacy(PROD) system and
the new solution (Pension Management System) and Salesforce environments,
ensuring that data is consistently replicated, updated and maintained for
the duration of the project or when the legacy system is retired.
The technician will be required to work with minimal supervision and in a
project team environment.
They will be responsible for troubleshooting problems and researching
solutions independently, clearly documenting installation and configuration
steps, and if possible developing automation scripts to carry out routine
fixes.
The person will be required to work overtime upon request


Mandatory Skill/Expertise:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a
major in computer
science, information systems or a field related to the essential functions.
A combination of formal education, professional certifications, and
directly related work experience may substitute for the degree.


Desirable Skill/Expertise:

Experience in design and support of network segmentation.
Implementation and administration of Network Access Control.
Experience with IPv6-aware network monitoring solutions.
Experienced in installation, configuration, and administration of
Cisco products
including but not limited to:
