Release Train Engineer who is experienced in both the Scaled Agile
Framework (SAFe) and Project Management. This role will be part of
Cotiviti’s Innovation Portfolio Management (IPM) team and will manage
critical projects within an Agile Release Train (ART) and across matrixed
teams. The initial focus will be on standing up a new Agile Release Train
and rolling out best scrum and agile practices at the Team and Program
levels, including guiding new business stakeholders on Client and SAFe
intake processes. Longer term emphasis will be on delivery and risk
management (ART coordination) and portfolio management with the IPM team.
This role must be able to traverse between team and program level
stakeholders and effectively and professionally engage with the leadership
team. The role of the RTE is to manage risks, escalate impediments, confirm
value delivery and assist in driving consistent improvement. Most
importantly, the RTE must connect stakeholders across the enterprise to
help get questions answered, decisions made, problems solved, and ideas
championed.

*As a Release Train Engineer at UST global, this is your opportunity to:*

   - Coach & guide Portfolio stakeholders on epic requirements and critical
   intake processes
   - Able to observe process challenges / pain points and proactively
   suggest and develop improvements / solutions.
   - Devise, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to
   organizational / Innovation Portfolio Management objectives.
   - Apply industry/process best practices to solve real-world business
   challenges. Interpret IPM processes and guide stakeholders how to navigate
   within them.
   - Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration
   process which drives stakeholder alignment to company's top priorities via
   Epic Syncs, Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings
   - Role encompasses SAFe’s recommended responsibilities as outlined at
   www.scaledagileframework.com
   - Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART using various
   tools, such as the Program Kanban and other information radiators
   - Facilitate the PI planning event
   - Summarize Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives and publish
   for visibility and transparency
   - Assist tracking the execution of features and capabilities
   - Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and epic
   estimation, where necessary.
   - Align large work asks to the appropriate Portfolio and associated
   budget.
   - Understand and operate within Portfolio budgets and ensure adherence
   to them
   - Support IPM operational needs such as capitalization tracking/support,
   ART metrics, course correcting process, etc.
   - Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and
   mindsets
   - Help manage risks and dependencies, escalate and track Program and
   Portfolio impediments
   - Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
   - Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other
   stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
   - Work with the Innovation Portfolio Management team (IPM) on program
   execution and operational excellence
   - Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess
   the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and help them improve

*You Bring:*

   - Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management (preferred).
   - Five years in software development or IT operations (required).
   - Two years in scrum master or project management role (required).
   - One year in Agile Scrum framework (required).
   - Experience in Scaled Agile Framework (required).
   - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
   - Strong leadership skills, results oriented, with the ability to be a
   successful team builder in a time critical environment
   - Understanding of and experience working within an enterprise Change
   Management process
   - Experience managing multiple projects and resources across multiple
   time zones including offshore
   - Experience developing and implementing a communications plan
   - Ability to report project status to various levels (including
   executive level) in the organization and able to tailor message to audience
   - Experience with Agile project management / software development
   methodologies preferred
   - Ability to work a flexible schedule around project deadlines and
   implementations, as necessary
   - Takes initiative to digest and solve process and project challenges
   - Tactful diplomat able to work well with diverse personalities,
   cultures, and backgrounds
   - Able to flex and adapt in rapidly changing situations
   - Self-motivated and autonomous worker with bias for action and
   adaptation toward strategic goals
   - Able to quickly understand and apply new processes, tools, and
   technologies
   - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; can translate
   messaging into high level business communications or technical
   documentation as needed
   - Professional public speaker & presenter/facilitator able to train
   large groups in classroom or webinar settings

   - Scrum Master Certification Required:
   - Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
   - Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) Preferred
   - SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) Preferred
   - Scaled Agile Certification Required:
   - SAFe Agilist (SA)
   - SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) Preferred
   - Release Train Engineer (RTE) Preferred
   - Professional Project Manager (PMP) Preferred
   - Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Preferred
