Position : Data Modeler Location : Kansas City (Initial Remote)
Duration – 12+ Months Position Summary: The Data Modeler will be responsible for implementing, and documenting data architecture and data modeling solutions. The candidate will be responsible for the development of the logical, and physical data models, the implementation of data lakes on target platforms. Should reduce data redundancy, streamline data movements, and improve enterprise information management, including the creation of semantic layer to support business users. The candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively. Principal Responsibilities: • Implement Physical model leveraging the logical model for product master. • Work with business and application/solution teams to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual/logical/physical data models. • Govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models. • Hands-on modeling, design, configuration, installation, and performance tuning. • Work proactively and independently to address project requirements and articulate issues/challenges to reduce project delivery risks. • Work with Data Management and Governance team to maintain metadata, lineage and data flow models. • Organize large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements. • ce (using RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, and ETL and data ingestion protocols). • Experience with AWS cloud preferred. • MarkitEDM experience is preferred • Experience with cloud-based data lake. • Good knowledge of metadata management, data modeling, and related tools required.
