Here is an urgent requirement for one of our clients and below is the job description, please let me know if you have any suitable profiles. *Client: Matrix Medical NW* *Job Title: Sr Network Engineer* *Location: 100% remote* *Duration: Long term contract* *Objectives of this role:* Manage and monitor all network infrastructure and systems installations, including configuration, testing, and ongoing maintenance. Implement and maintain strategies where appropriate for network security, and redundancy. Identify potential issues and gaps in the infrastructure and implement solutions proactively. Engage regularly with upper management, providing reports on project status, activities, and achievements. Maintain 5”9’s of uptime across the enterprise. Establish KPI’s and report on Service Levels monthly. Responsible for Network Trouble Shooting working with teams to resolve issues across the enterprise. *Responsibilities* Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) when appropriate. Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices. Monitor network performance and integrity. Resolve issues that other tiers of IT support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure. Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness. Mentor team members on technical issues Create, oversee, and test security measures (e.g., access authentication and disaster recovery) Communicate with users when needed. Create and maintain complete technical documentation for Data Centers and Enterprise Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability. Ensure Management is always updated. *Required Skills & Qualifications* 8-10+ years of experience as a Senior Network Engineer Professional certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) CCDP - Nice to have. Complete understanding of the OSI 7 Layer Model Solid background in network administration and architecture In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF) Familiarity with access control models and network security Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g., Python, Power Shell) Network Administration and experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., Cisco, SolarWinds, Network Tools) Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS) Excellent troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and in team environments.
