Have you tried logging the android_audio_mio.cpp ... function:
AndroidAudioMIOActiveTimingSupport::UpdateClock(). Check if the clock
value is overflowing.

Also, when you did see a crash, did you get a stack trace, or do you
know where it is crashing?
