If G1 and Diamond have basicaly the same HW. Then it should be possible to crack the G1 and port an ISO to the Diamond! Just getting Android running on a Diamond is not the biggest problem. But to have the same features as the G1 is the best way to start. To develop and optimize features and apps for a basic Android could take months or even years to have a stable Diamond with G1 featues.
