Hi, I want to update the kernel on my device (Huawei U8220) to 2.6.29. I have some idea of how to do this already.
So far, I have downloaded the 2.6.27 source, and got my current kernel source and created a diff file (so it included all of the huawei changes). When I patched it to the 2.6.29 source, it wouldn't compile properly, it had a problem with building the io.o file (using io.c and io.h). I am using Ubuntu 9.04 by the way with gcc 4.3.3.
