All, Has anyone ever compiled a working cross platform kernel from the Linux kernel source available from kernel.org (not Android kernel source from git repo) for android device?
I successfully compiled the new 3.0 rc7 yesterday with yaffs fs for ARM, but the same does not work on the emulator. When I tried (after compiling the AOSP for T-mobile G2) running the emulator with the command: emulator -kernel zImage -show-kernel the compiled kernel source does not boot/show any signs of working. What am I missing here? Regards Karthik P.S 1: I have a little experience compiling a working kernel from source for GNU/Linux.
