At first I am not sure if this is the right group where I post my questions. If I am wrong please tell me where I can post them. I am working with a company developing 3D displays. For each view both the color (3D-->2D projection) and depth information are needed. 3D apps (e.g. games) usually provide only one color map that is displayed on mobile phone's or tablet's screen immediatly after rendering has been completed. But during the rendering process depth information is generated too but not available (i.e. output by any interface). Compared to NVidia's stereo driver for desktop applications (makes almost all 3D game stereo capable) an approach could be to change graphics driver's source code so that depth information can be made available and a second view can be generated by performing an additional view transformation. As result one will have both colour and depth maps two times. And here are my question: Basically, are the source code of graphics drivers (e.g. of NVidia Tegra platform) of Android platforms available? If yes, where can I get them and is it in general allowed to change that code? Thanks in advance for your answers, Alexander
