Hi,

We are using kernel sources from
http://source.android.com/source/building-kernels.html
We are configuring and compiling them as per the instructions given on the
AOSP website.

But when we use this compiled kernel in Pandaboard (Android ICS) and then
use this ICS we have a problem in networking.

Our low level system project needs to send huge data on ethernet.
We see inconsistent network throughput i.e. we get bursts in data flow
instead of smooth data streaming.

Surprising thing is that for the same setup, when we use precompiled kernel
in Android ICS, we do not see bursts in network in Pandaboard. So we are
guessing that we are doing something wrong in configuring/compiling kernel
sources....or the sources themselves are wrong.

So please help if anybody knows, whether the kernel to be built for
Pandaboard after the sources have been downloaded from AOSP needs to be
configured or compiled in different way?

Thanks in Advance.

Shinde
