I am compiling the Android source following the instructions at http://source.android.com/download. But no where does it talk about the version of the current master branch and the relationship between the source branch and the different versions - 1.6, 2.0.1, and 2.1.
What is the current version of the master branch? How can I download different versions of the source code, namely 1.6, 2.0.1 and 2.1 from the git repository? Is there a complete list of all available branches? Thanks.
