I'm currently working on a device which doesn't have hardware accelerated graphics. At the moment, we put a comment in our release notes saying that users can change some of the Android settings to improve performance, but ideally we want to force some settings (e.g. Sound and Display->Window Animations) to a certain value after a device is reflashed.
