They will release the source someday. (As someone said in the bug tracker thread, Android is only about 1 step away on the "open source" scale from the projects that are open in name only.)
Someday has ranged from days to months after the first devices ship. (Longer if you mean "working source", as several versions were released with very incomplete sources.)
