Hi, upon closer inspection the problem is related to the emulator used. The emulator ( external/qemu) found on the gingerbread branch does not pick-up the hardware-qemu.ini and thus starts the wrong kernel (kermel-qemu) on the wrong CPU architecture. Pretty soon (in the ramdisk) illegal instructions are run..
