Dear Steve and list members,

I've already read those webpages, and they mentioned that USB HID keyboards
should work out of the box, without further configuration (my cheap Android
development tablet does not have any special configuration file regarding
the USB HID keyboard and it works ok.

Nonetheless, I've created the files, but keyboard input still not work.

dumpsys window shows the keyboard and getevent shows the events when I
press a key.

I've mapped the function keys to MENU, but pressing (for example) F1 in the
GUI does not show the menu.

What am I missing?

Regards,
Gabor Wacha
