Hi, Here is the test environment Server : IIS server, with a virtual directory set to "Accept client certificates"
client1 : Froyo (FRF50) client 2 : HTC Incredible (2.1) Problem. When i navigate to the virtual directory which accepts client certs, the froyo browser waits for a long time and finally throws "The server failed to communicate, try again later" The Incredible browser, and i presume all pre-froyo browsers used to be able to connect. Impact. We use a custom SSL socket factory to connect to servers which require client certificates and setting a custom keystore with the client certs. It all used to work until Froyo started reaching our customers. Now all of them that require client certs are unable to connect. Thought i would give you a heads up, but this can be a very nasty one.. cheers -g NitroDesk Inc.
