I posted the following to the articel above. I'd imagine it's already been discussed but thought I'd share anyway. I don't think google will like the windows type method of you could have blocked this via the annoying requests you disabled, so don't blame us philosophy. The symbian model was more likely to be used where you granted permissions upon install, you should however be able to revoke some of the requested permissions and still force the install as too many apps simply! required! all permissions. Google should also make the permission far more fine grained and easy to understand. It's not difficult, if you care a little to decide what an app needs, once.
