Re: this FAQ entry:
"Q: How can I stay informed about Android security?
A: For general discussion of Android platform security, or how to use
security features in your Android application, please subscribe to
android-security-discuss."
Is this discuss list the only to "stay informed" about Android security?
What I'm looking for is Google's Android security advisories. For
example, data like other OS/platform vendors make available, eg:
http://us.blackberry.com/ataglance/security/news.jsp
https://lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo/security-announce
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/security/dd252948.aspx
Does Google provide that data for users of Android devices?
And besides general Google/OHA data, is there a list of Android OEMs
which do -- and do not -- provide OS/security updates, including listing
security advisories? Eg, some provide zero input to customer, others
provide OS updates, OTA or via otherwise. I've not seen this data in any
Consumer Reports-type reviews.
Thanks!
