Hi,
I have been working on updating an Android app for a client who outsourced
the original app to another developer. We need to sign the new version of
the app but we can't get in contact with the original developer to get the
keystore/private key. Is there still a way I can sign the app with the
original certificate or release the update with a new certificate? I have
read an article that seems to suggest that you would need to release a
whole new app rather than upgrading the existing one if you use a different
certificate, is that true?
