I have an Android phone made by ZTE : Model: T3020 Firmware version: T3020 T01 Kernel: 2.6.29 zte-kernel@Zdroid-SMT Build Numner: T3020 T03"
It does not have root access. There is no support for upgrading the OS by ZTE or the telco (Telstra Australia who have installed the above customized version). When I open the browser app (I have no idea what browser this its) it opens to home page: www.google.com.au and after I do a search and pick items from the last search result list several (but not all) entires will cause the following message to appear. Message: " Security certificate The name of the site does not match the name on the certificate issued to: Common name: google.com Organization: Google Inc issued by: Common name: Google Internet Authority Organization: Google Inc Validity: Issued on: 24/10/2012 Expires on: 08/06/2013 " I am guessing that selected pages have content from google.com hence the message. If I try to go to https://google.com/claendar/ it will trigger this message. If I sign in to my google account the I get this message every time I go to http://www.google.com.au My phone date is set correctly what am I supposed to do about the message? Is it phone or website that needs to change ? I can make this problem go away if I press menu button, "settings", uncheck "show security warnings" but is this a good idea? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Security Discussions" group.
