Hello,

I went from my Motorola Xoom to Galaxy Tab Note 8.4 Pro.

Regrettably i hope kitkat had made a mistake with the whole SD card
permission and if there is a possibly confirmation they will fix this issue.

Yes when i say it an issue, it an ISSUE. My Xoom tablet which was still on
GingerBread had no SD Card problem i could access and use external SD card
with apps. Now on my new tablet which i was hoping it to be better. I have
no permission to my SD card.

"Sorry, You cannot change your storage to SD Card, as Google has
implemented new policies for 3rd Party app to access SDcard on Kitkat
Devices"

I have never gotten this issue using GingerBread for my XOOM, i have bought
so many apps that uses my SDCard. Even App that use to securely lock my
files on the SDcard. Now i am unable to do so. My tablet is only limited to
16GB Internal, 2GB is used to install the KitKat OS + Preinstalled Apps,
which bring me down to only 11GB Internal.

I use my tablet for work related, which is why i have installed a 64GB
SDCard where i can store files in with a bonus of Folder Locking apps that
will securely keep my files safe.

My only choice is to return the tablet (Thanks god i bought buy-back
insurance) or Illegally Root my device. I was never a fan of Rooting
devices because i don't need developer option i just wanted a tablet that
does what i needed like my Motorola Xoom.

Google had no right to take away SD Card permission, there was never a big
security breach with SD Card. Now from my stand point if Google decide to
keep this implement. Android Tablet are just as garbage as Apple Ipad with
all the BS restriction. Sure ipad has no SDExpansion but it just the same
as Kitkat not allowing us to use SD expansion though we could put one in.

I guess breaking some policy is always the best way to solve everything. I
didn't wanna void my warranty with Samsung but i like this tablet so i
guess rooting it is my only choice. But Google remember you guys are just
getting as bad as Apple with all the restriction.
