Hi Liang, My reasoning behind having it protected is because getSqlType returns the type + the column length (i.e. VARCHAR2(300)) so I thought it wouldn't be necessary for someone to access the column length directly. Why do you need to access it by itself? If you can give me a good reason then I'll change it to be public.
