Hi Dirk,
Have you taken a look at: http://maven.apache.org/reference/user-guide.html#Using_Proxies. Also you can download a "seed" maven repository from here: http://maven.apache.org/start/download.html which should have all of the dependencies you require to run Maven.

Subject: AW: [Andromda-devel] Should I switch from AndroMDA 2.x to 3.x now?
Hi Wouter,
thanks again, your hints did help me. So far. I tell you now, where I had the problems that are solved and what problems I have right now...
I see, so you are using AndroMDA on your project, as opposed to developing additional AndroMDA stuff, in this case you will need the binary release, I guess you are working with that one.
Yes you are right. My project requires to build metamodel fascades too, because I have written a reflection-like API as fascade for the UML models. But it works like the old UMLStaticHelper (which are from Tony). The new technic used for this are the metamodel fascades I guess.
But there is a way to use Ant to build your projects, I have written a small tool for it, the docs you are reading describe the tool that uses maven to build projects
On the getting started page (http://team.andromda.org/docs/starting.html) you have two sections: Maven and Ant, since you prefer to use Ant you should go to the Ant section :-) and there you will have the "download, unzip, go" stuff ... let me know if the information there would be insufficient
Because I have been focusing on more urgent AndroMDA things that Ant tool has moved a little bit in the background so if something would not be working please let me know (I used it on a project at work once and it worked fine but you never know)
OK, it works. And when it installs the project directory there is also a readme.txt that says, that I have to use ant 1.6.1 or higher. The problem was that I first used an older ant version :-( that was already installed on my notebook.
What are these properties for when I initialize a new project?... - the developer names: - the application id: - the application version:
Btw, all the libraries are included in the release so you don't need to download anything from behind a firewall (and even in that case Maven could pass through if you set some properties)
Now I would like to build the sample apps but this I can't without maven?
Starting maven it attempts to download commons-jelly-tags-jsl-20030211.143151.jar
which didn't work, because I'm behind a firewall.
So I can't build the sample apps with ant because there are no ant build.xml files ant I can't build with maven because I'm behind a firewall.
I would know how to build with ant (to adapt my own build process) and would know how to build with maven, to lern how it works.
Can you please help me again?
Thanks!
Dirk
