Bob Fields commented on SITE-57: -------------------------------- The hint on the proxy settings is already there, maybe it could be a bit more obvious. The very last sentence under the heading 'Install Maven' says Note: "If you are behind a proxy server, you will have to configure Maven to use the proxy. The details can be found here." 'here' points to http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-proxies.html, which explains maven settings.xml proxy settings. There is a huge issue with maven 2.0.9 which is fixed in 2.0.10-SNAPSHOT, version 2.0.8 is currently recommended. The issue is that ${build.sourceDirectory} is repeated twice when referenced in andromda.xml, causing the model to not be found. It can be easily worked-around for new applications (reference the model file name directly in andromda.xml) but would break existing applications. Keeping up with the newest versions of all the tools is always a struggle. The 3.3 documentation was current at the time of the 3.3 release. The same comment applies to the new Eclipse release. By pointing to the dowlloads on the JBoss/Eclipse site, hopefully people should understand that you should download/install the latest version, although there may be issues such as those with maven. > Updates inside 3.3 java tutorial necessary > ------------------------------------------ > > Key: SITE-57 > URL: http://jira.andromda.org/browse/SITE-57 > Project: Website > Type: Bug > Environment: Browser > Reporter: Heiko Nardmann > Assignee: Wouter Zoons > Priority: Trivial > > The page referenced by > http://galaxy.andromda.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=105&Itemid=89 > has to be updated. > 1) MagicDraw is available with version 16.0. > 2) The link to the databases supported by Hibernate is not up to date. > The old link: > http://www.hibernate.org/260.html > The new link: > http://www.hibernate.org/80.html > 3) Maven is available with version 2.0.9. > 4) JBoss is available with version 5.0.0. > There should be a small hint telling newbies that maybe a settings.xml inside > .m2 directory is needed which specifies which proxy to use. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://jira.andromda.org/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SF.Net email is Sponsored by MIX09, March 18-20, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
