Walter Itamar Mourão commented on HIB-223:
------------------------------------------

I suggest the default behavior to change and, since the association isn't
aggregate or composition, it can be writable in both association ends, setting
the inverse property to false in both sides.

> The Hibernate Cartridge does not allow the creation of many-to-many
> bi-directional writable associations

> currently the hibernate cartridge forces the inverse attribute to be true in
> one of the association ends when the association is many-to-many with both
> sides public and navigable. It should be possible to create non-composition,
> non-aggregate many-to-many associations to be writable in both association
> ends.
