Yes, you can use Poseidon, Rational I'm not sure, I guess it depends on the version of XMI they export/support. At the moment you can't exchange XMI files between tools and keep the diagrams because all tools don't support the UML Diagram Interchange standard yet (that's why you need to use Magic Draw when opening the samples since they were done in Magic Draw). With Poseidon you'll need to import the andromda-profile.xml.zip (is in the distribution), Magic Draw allows you to point to this thing as an external "module" (it would be nice if Poseidon had this ability).
