I've been using magicdraw for a while now, and it seems OK - crashes every now and again. The 'must have' feature I need is the ability to create "shared" artifacts that I can re-use in other projects - classes, tagged values and stereotypes. (is this a profile?) AFAICT the cheapest version that supports this is the Professional edition which comes in at $499. If I understand their pricing model correctly, I have to pay an additional $99 if I want to get any patches until the end of 2005. I don't mind paying for software but that seems a bit expensive for one extra feature. Has anyone found a way to create artifacts in one magicdraw model that can be used in another? Alternatively, what are peoples experiences with Posiedon?
