Yeah we do need better documentation about developing a cartridge.


The additional stuff it has besides templates and descriptors, are metafacades 
(but these are optional), I'd suggest you read this: 
http://www.andromda.org/andromda-metafacades/index.html.  



Probably the best way to go about developing your own cartridge is to take a 
look at one of the existing cartridges.  The java cartridge is the most simple, 
all it contains is templates and the andromda-cartridge.xml (because it just 
uses the metafacades from the uml metafacades).  All other cartridges use 
metafacades.
